The Tropenmuseum takes you on a journey around the world. The exhibitions include stories, accessoires, paintings, pictures and music from a large range of cultures. The Tropenmuseum experience with it's many aspects make the cultures feel alive and close. Different themes are shown in the museum, varying from contemporary art, religious traditions to historical pictures.

The Tropenmuseum is very accessible for people with reduced mobility. The organization can arrange a sign language interpreter if you call or e-mail in advance. There is no signposting, signals or Braille trail present.

Notes
From Amsterdam Central Station bus 22 departs from the Prins Hendrikkade and passes the Tropenmuseum, bus stop is 1e van Swindenstraat. From there it is a 1 minute walk to the main entrance of the museum. An alternative is to take tram 9 from Amsterdam Central Station and get out at the same stop. Tram 10 and 14 run from other sides of the city.

Parking spots for people with disabilities are situated within 75 meters of the main entrance.
